Dear People of St. Patrick Parish,
Next Sunday, we celebrate at Mass, the Exaltation of the Holy Cross and we reflect upon what that Cross that Jesus was killed on, should mean to us.
The readings for today’s Mass, call us to take up our daily crosses and like Jesus, trust in God’s love for us and His help, as we place our trust in Him.
We all know that we need to plan, to think out our plans and weigh all that it will take to make it happen.
What does it take to go to school and get our education, to prepare us for our adult lives?
What does it take to have a blessed marriage and to care for the children God sends us?
What does it take for a priest or religious person to follow Christ and become His Disciples?
What does it take for us to follow Jesus in our daily lives and to have the goal of eternal life in Heaven, one day? Live the Commandments, love God and love the people that God has put into our lives.
Today, we the people of St. Patrick Parish pray that our children that are to receive the Sacraments of First Confession, First Holy Communion and Confirmation will be signed up for the classes they need in order to receive these Sacraments.
Today, we pray that parents will see that their children are baptized and that any adults who need to be baptized will do what is needed to make it happen.
If you have questions, talk to Fr. Larry or Fr. Jun or call the Parish office.
We the people of St. Patrick Parish are proud to say we are disciples of Jesus Christ and make every effort to make Him known to others.
God Bless,
Fr. Larry Young
