The Children Liturgy of the Word offers our young children from ages 3-8 years old (Preschool-2nd grade) an opportunity to hear the Sunday scriptures in language that they can understand. The guided discussions/reflections enable the children to understand how the Gospel message relates to their everyday experiences. At the beginning of mass, the children at the 9:30am &11:30am Masses only are invited to the altar by the celebrant to be blessed. Then, volunteers escort the children to the Parish Hall. In the Hall, Liturgy of the Word begins with a scripture reading from the Children’s Lectionary followed by a discussion/reflection. The ChildrenLiturgy of the Word concludes with a circle of prayer offered by the children. The children return to their families during the Offertory when the congregation is seated. Please encourage your child to participate. All arewelcome; registration is not needed. It’s FREE!!!!
