Dear People of St. Patrick Parish,
This weekend, we welcome Bishop Jeevanandam Amalanathan from India to speak to us about the missionary activities and challenges of the Diocese of Kumbakonam, India and to ask us to contribute to the Propagation of Faith, to help his Catholic Diocese in India and other needs in India.
The Scriptural readings this Sunday, need to be reflected upon and to help us understand God’s plan of creation for all people.
· Adam is a male and God created a woman to join with Adam, to create the opportunity for them to love one another and out of that love produce children, to raise the children and to prepare those children to continue on God’s plan for our world.
· God wanted and still wants the family to be a place of love, care, and to always remember how much God loves all families.
· A man and a woman commit to love each other and get married and for Catholics to get married in the Catholic Church and to stay married to each other.
· We should reflect that God does not want us to get divorced and to get married again and again.
· Should we find a divorce situation in our lives, we should talk to Fr. Larry or Fr. Jun or another priest and see what can be done to keep the teachings of God the Father and Jesus about marriage and divorce going forth.
· God wants us to love Him with the same love a little child has for their parents and that means we trust that the love of God will always help us, forgive us and await our coming home to Him in heaven.
God Bless,
