This last Sunday in Ordinary Time, today, reminds us to remember and pray for that day, when Jesus will return to earth with great Power and Glory. This second coming of Christ will be a joy for all who lived their lives trying to follow God’s Commands. Yes, their names are written in the Book of Life and will have earned eternal life in heaven with our loving God. We also need to remember that if we refuse God’s love while alive, we will be forever in Hell and that is not a happy life.
Today is also Stewardship Sunday and we are hosting our Annual Parish Stewardship Fair in the Parish Hall after all the Masses. We thank the Parish Stewardship Committee and all those Parish Ministries helping to make it a happy and Parish enriching experience.
We ask that you look at all the Parish groups that help to make St. Patrick Parish a place that has and works hard to be a Parish that is truly a ministry to spread our Catholic Faith and provide for both material and spiritual benefits to our people.
After Mass, you can go to the Hall, refreshments are being served and you can visit the different tables that display and have someone to explain the Ministry they do, and the help they need.
We sometimes do not realize that there are people who quietly and with great dedication serve the needs of the Parish.
Examples:
Pastoral Council
Finance Council
St. Vincent de Paul Society
Catholic Youth Organization (CYO)
Teach Faith Formation and Youth Ministry
Bring food for Fr. Jun and Fr. Larry
Count and Deposit Collection at the Bank
Arrange Flowers for the Church environment
Staff the Altar Society Gift Shop to raise funds for the Church needs
Change Banners
Bring Holy Communion to the Homebound
Open the Church daily and prepare the Altar for Mass
Think, learn, pray and see if you could use your gifts and talents, to help these groups and also to help us form more groups.
Oh, yes, Stewardship also is giving our Sacrificial Gifts to the Lord to help all our people.
