Dear People of St. Patrick Parish,
The Responsorial Psalm 66 today is, “ Let all the earth cry out to God with joy.”
Do we pray it and mean it in our daily lives? Let us reflect on the reasons we cry out to God with joy.
· That there is a loving God.
· He gave us life.
· His Son Jesus died for us to take away our sins, so we can one day be body and soul with our loving God in heaven.
· Our Baptism makes us truly God’s children no matter our age.
· Our names are written in heaven.
The meaning of the word JOY: an emotion evoked by well-being that brings delight to us.
Today, we also reflect upon Jesus’ words to His Apostles and Disciples and ask ourselves, do we do it in our daily lives.
· Into whatever house you enter, first say, “Peace to this household.”
· “The Kingdom of God is at hand for you.”
Shared Thoughts:
· Arriving home after a hard day and horrible traffic conditions, enter the house and say, “Peace with this house and all who live here.”
· Smile more and show that you do feed God’s love for you, which might make others say we want that same joy and peace.
· Try to be more positive rather than negative in our conversations.
· Pray for those people we don’t like, so that maybe they will change and find peace.
In this Jubilee Year 2025, let us be filled with hope and when we find the peace and joy, let us not forget to thank God for giving it to us.
God Bless,
Fr. Larry Young
